PADI Scuba Diver Diver Course

If you're short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you. The PADI scuba diver course is a shortened version of the Full PADI open water course which will allow you to scuba dive but with a few added restrictions. With the PADI scuba diver course, you will complete part of the dive theory and confined water sessions and 2 of the normal 4 open water dives and this course can be completed in just 3 days if needed. On the flip side, you have to dive with a professional guide and can only go down to 12 metres.
Once you have your PADI scuba diver qualification it is then much easier to carry on at a later date to complete your full PADI open water course when you have more time and because you have completed part of the open water course already with your scuba diver qualification, the course will be easier and shorter the second time around.

What you will learn in this course

Your training starts by going through your PADI open water digital product which can be downloaded to your phone or tablet so you can work on it anytime and anywhere. You will then be given the start date in the pool where you will go through your equipment and skills with your instructor, some of the things you will go over include:
  • how to assemble your scuba diving equipment.
  • How to clear your mask underwater should you get water in it.
  • How to do a safe assent should you run out of air using your buddy's alternate air sorce.
  • safety stops and emergency decompression procedures
  • How to achieve good buoyancy and trim with your scuba equipment
  • Managing your gas supply.
  • how to communicate underwater using hand signals.
